Food Pantry
Our food pantry is open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
We partner with Second Harvest Food Bank and receive donations from Food Lion and Ingles in Walnut Cove. If you or someone you know is in need of food and live in the eastern part of Stokes County, please call 336-591-3237 or come see us at 301 W. 3rd Steet in Walnut Cove.

Clients may receive food assistance up to six times per year, and those who are 65 and older may visit every 30 days. However, no one will ever be turned away for food.

We simply request a current photo ID for each adult in the household age 18 and older (with the most recent address listed) and a copy of Social Security cards for children.

Our goal is always to provide healthy food choices and a consistent inventory that includes whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and high-quality protein and dairy items.

Clients may receive four clothing vouchers per year.

East Stokes Outreach is primarily a food pantry and thrift store, but if funding allows, we may provide financial assistance once per year by helping with a light bill or providing a gas or kerosene voucher. We also distribute heaters in the winter and fans in the summer. We do not assist with rent, phone, or water bills, and we recommend reaching out to Crisis Control Ministries at (336) 724-7453 for additional support.

We are always in need of kids’ snacks, cereal, jelly, and canned chicken.
